Full Tour Description
We start the Grand Segway Tour with a 20-30 minute orientation session in front of our office on the big open square. Your guide will be on hand to help you get to grips with the Segway and to make sure you feel comfortable. Only when you’re ready will we go out and conquer Budapest.
The itinerary, is very much up to you. There are so many places to explore that sometimes it’s difficult to know where to begin. Some ideas include checking out inner Pest, the city’s vibrant downtown area, or a trip down to the river to take in the fabulous views of the stunning Buda Castle District.
Other must-see sights include St. Stephen’s Basilica, the Hungarian State Opera House and the tree-lined Grand Boulevard of Andrassy. From any one of these you can ride over to see Deak Square, Elizabeth Square, the Great Synagogue, Vorosmarty Square and the Vaci Walking District. Riding for another couple of minutes will have you standing infront of the Vigado and Danube Promenades. From here you’ll see the Chain Bridge. Then onto Széchenyi Square and the Parliament area, Liberty Square and many more. Just tell your Grand Segway Tour guide what you’re interested in and he’ll tailor a tour to your exact needs.
Ask Your Guide
At every stop, your guide will be on hand to tell you more about what you’re seeing and answer any questions you might have. And, of course, there’ll be plenty of changes to take photos.
We try our very best to accommodate special requirements but due to the limits of the Segway (high curbs and outdoor surfaces) and safety standards we uphold, some areas will not be allowed to access on Segway. Your guide reserves the right to make judgements on the accessibility of the areas you want to visit. Please note the city also closes down certain areas to the Segway and also for events, fairs and festivals which can require the use of alternative routes.
Our private Grand Segway Tour can be conducted in several languages, and we can cater for small groups, right up to groups as large as 150 people. With 50 people able to ride Segways at once, we can accommodate large groups with back to back tours or half bike, half Segway tours.
Private English speaking guide, Segway machine rental, helmet, stops for photos and questions
Entry fees to sights and museums, food and beverages except where noted, transport to the meeting point or from the conclusion point, gratuity/tip
