Common PC Issues and How to Fix Them
On September 26, 2022 by MicarahPCs come and go and there are plenty of issues that can plague you. These issues may persist if you don’t take the time to fix them. There are easy ways to fix some of the most common PC issues, but not all of them can be fixed without spending extra money. Here are the most common issues and how to fix them.
BSOD or System Hang
When you get a blue screen of death or a system hang, hopefully, the system gives you a code, so that you can know where to look for the problem. If the code is software related, you can solve it with an update or reinstall. If it is hardware related, it might be one of the components dying and in need of a replacement. The most common components to die are RAM sticks. It just happens.
PC Running Extremely Slow
When your PC is running very slow, there could be a couple of reasons.

The first one to check is whether you have any programs running or whether there is any malware on the PC. Either look at the task manager or equivalent system monitoring tool or program or run an antivirus. That should give you an idea whether it is software related. Check the RAM usage. You might be running low on RAM.
If your computer is very old, then the reason should be obvious.
An SSD can give life to an old computer, but only so much if the processor can’t handle new instruction sets.
System Not Booting
If this happens, take a look at the hardware or the SSD or any other drive where the system is installed. Try a live boot of a Linux OS to see whether it is system related. If it is a hardware issue, then you might want to go to a professional. They have the means to test each of the components. If you have a friend with matching components, then you can run the tests yourself.
Games Crashing

This is a modern problem, but it can happen so we all want it solved as soon as possible. Games should also spit out codes, in a log file somewhere. Either look for it yourself or try contacting game support. They will likely tell you to update your drivers. If the problem persists, then it might be up to them to patch the game or you to reinstall the OS.
Your PC could have plenty of problems but these are among the most common ones. Try fixing these problems first, before considering more complicated issues. Always, try turning it off and on again, or restarting and in the end, reinstalling the system.
