Website Design: Now More Important Than Ever!
On December 24, 2021 by MicarahThey say that the clothes make the person, and to an extent, they are right. We have built some expectations when we see clothes and with those expectations come thoughts. Someone in sweatpants does not appear classy, unlike people in suits and a tie. Appearances matter, sometimes more than they should. This is why web design is now really important. When a person enters a site, they want to be greeted with something beautiful and practical, not a mess from the late 1990s.
It is time to consider web design as one of the most important parts of your online presentation. Here is why.

The Clothes Make a Person
A site can be made a lot better simply through a better use of visual elements. It might still be sluggish, compared to more optimized sites, it might be clunky in the way that its code is executed, but it will be pleasing on the eyes.
When a site looks good and is relatively easy to navigate, users will be more likely to spend time on the site. That is, of course, if the site has the content that they want. Yet, the looks of the site will determine whether a visitor will be persuaded or dissuaded. First impressions are important and a good design is the first step in making a good impression.
Better Organization of Content
Content on a website is really important, as well as the way the content is organized and published. A site with good design will allow the content to read well and to be read by search engines well, meaning good SEO. You can add elements that can directly contribute to having better SEO, like plugins. The way the site is coded is also important for SEO and changing the core code is not a lightweight task, which is why it should be done right from the start. Part of web design is accommodating possible elements and being modular enough to be adapted to future changes in the industry.
A Matter of Trust

You wouldn’t trust a site that looks like it was made in Paint by somebody who opened the tool and discovered rectangles and straight lines. But, a site which was designed by a specialist who understands the value of a good design, would be a more trustworthy one. When you see effort put into something, you tend to trust that product or service more. A site that looks good and is well-organized will leave a better impression, and that does not have to do with looks, only.
Effort Builds Connection
A site which looks good and was built with the idea of helping the customer navigate and find whatever it is that they were looking for in under thirty seconds is the best site that a customer could want. When you navigate a site that does its best to serve you, you tend to want to deal with the same company once more.
It is Not Up for Debate
Even if the other reasons are not enough, everybody else will be hopping onto the web design train and making their sites as beautiful as they can. If the competition is ahead in that regard, then part of the race is already lost.
Web design has always been important, but nowadays even more so, as the bar has been raised high.
